"Let there be light"

The final touches have been added to our solar panel installation at our facilities in Port Glasgow. The 1,520 panel installation is the largest in the Inverclyde area and, at 375kW, it is 150 times the size of an average residential install producing in excess of 400,000 kwh of electricity in a year. (Enough to power 100 homes.)

Printing / Die cutting is an energy intensive process. The solar system will help cover our electricity requirements with clean energy during the day and we will return energy to the national grid out of hours and at weekend. The install will prevent over 150 tonnes of carbon from being released into the atmosphere each year and demonstrates our ongoing commitment to produce premium, paper based packaging sustainably.
