McLaren Packaging joins Scotland Food & Drink
McLaren’s core business is the supply of premium paper-based packaging, including composite tubes, rigid boxes, cartons, corrugate cases and divisions to the food and drinks industry, providing a comprehensive one-stop-shop for secondary packaging.
The Port-Glasgow head-quartered family-run firm is led by brothers Donald and Michael McLaren, Managing Director and Sales & Marketing Director respectively.
Michael McLaren said: “We are delighted to sign-up to Scotland Food & Drink as part of our ongoing mission to support Scotland’s producers in their quest to grow Scottish brands globally.
“From high-quality flexographic printing to award-winning shaped composite tubes, McLaren Packaging leads on innovation, quality and service and we look forward to enhancing our engagement with Scotland’s ambitious food and drinks producers through active membership of Scotland Food & Drink.”
Established in 1979 as an independent supplier of corrugated cases to the drinks industry, McLaren Packaging has since grown to record annual sales of over £17 million across a comprehensive range of paper-based packaging products.
Employing over 120 people and operating across five facilities totalling 180,000 sq ft in Central Scotland, the family-run firm supplies small, independent operators through to large multi-national organisations.
McLaren Packaging aims to increase its turnover to £20 million by 2020. Scotland Food & Drink’s mission is to grow the industry to a value of £30 billion by 2030 and its vision is to build Scotland’s international reputation as a Land of Food and Drink.
