McLaren Packaging Sponsors The Whisky Magazine Awards America 2024
The World Whiskies Awards are the global awards selecting the very best in all the internationally recognised styles, awarding and promoting the world’s best whiskies to consumers and trade across the globe.
From master distillers to brand ambassadors, the event celebrated the outstanding contributions of individuals and establishments shaping the industry's landscape. Heaven Hill Distillery was named Distiller of the Year, while Greg Metze from Old Elk Distillery took the title of Master Distiller/Master Blender of the Year. The Visitor Attraction of the Year honour was awarded to Buffalo Trace Distillery, further solidifying their status as industry leaders.
The evening also witnessed the announcement of the Round 1 Category Winners for the United States in the World Whiskies Awards 2024, introducing new American inductees to the Whisky Magazine Hall of Fame: Joseph J. Magliocco from Michter’s owner Chatham Imports, and Freddie Johnson from Buffalo Trace Distillery.
McLaren Packaging sponsored several awards, alongside other major industry names, including Brindiamo Group, Glencairn Crystal, IPL Packaging, and Kentucky Bourbon Festival. The Whisky Magazine Hall of Fame is sponsored by Amorim Top Series, reflecting the collective commitment to honouring excellence in the whisky industry.
This year's awards hold special significance as Whisky Magazine celebrated its 25th anniversary on November 20, 2023. Run by the team at Whisky Magazine, the Icons of Whisky and World Whiskies Awards celebrate the best and brightest people and places in the sector, highlighting the achievements of individuals and businesses in the whisky world.
Donald McLaren, the Group’s Managing Director, said:
“As one of the sponsors of the Whisky Magazine Awards America 2024, we are proud to support individuals and businesses that continue to elevate the whisky industry. Congratulations to all the winners and participants for their contributions and achievements. It's well deserved!”
